On your website, there's a link that says "Homework Problems". Are all of those problems actually going to be due? I want to try and get started right away, but I wasn't sure if they were just for practice or not. Thanks!

Tori.....The homework problems listed for each chapter will not be collected or graded. However, they are the most important part of your preparation for the quizzes and exams! Do all of them thoroughly and with in-depth thinking about how the concepts covered in class (and the notes) are illustrated in a variety of different problems. The only graded homework is that on the MasteringChemistry web site. I recommend doing the on-line problems along with those in the book.

On some sections of the Mastering Chemistry I am getting a grey box where I should be able to type my answer. This is only happening in a few of the sections, and prohibits me from entering an answer for that particular question. The only way for me to continue on and not receive an incomplete is to chose 'give up.' I don't want to give us as I can solve the problem and want the credit for the problem. Is anyone else getting this problem, and if so what is the solution? I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate and using Chrome. Specifically parts 3 and 4 of the introduction and so far parts 2 and 13 of the august 27th assignment.

Ross.....Have you tried using IE or Firefox instead of Chrome?

I am having trouble logging onto the Mastering Chemistry site, every time I log in it takes me to a page and says "page unavailable" I tried different search engines and I still have the same result. I even put in wrong information to see if that did anything different and I still got the same page that says "page unavailable". Any advice would be helpful
